Be’ah, ISWA sign agreement to develop training programmes
Be’ah has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA). The pact was signed at ISWA’s World Congress held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
A press release stated that the pact concerns developing training programmes in the field of waste management and promotion of best practices in solid waste management.
The MoU was signed by Sheikh Mohammed Suleiman al Harthy, executive vice president, Strategic Development at Be’ah and Herman Koehler, managing director of ISWA in the presence of Antonios Mavropoulos, president, ISWA.
The signing of this pact is another step towards the establishment of Oman Environmental Center of Excellence, an initiative that Be’ah has been pushing for in collaboration with public, private and academic sectors.
