Legal Affairs officer

Department: Governance and Legal Affairs

Qualification: Bachelor Degree

Experience: 2 – 4 years’ experience required

Job Description:

 JOBPURPOSE

To support the Legal Affairs Department in providing legal advice, guidance,interpretation support and recommendations to Be’ah on all legal matters, with a view to ensuring legal/ statutory/ regulatory compliance in other to protect the Organizations’ interests

   KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •   Contribute to providing timely advice and guidance to Internal Stakeholders on legal matters and processes.

  •   Contribute towards providing legal advice on commercial matters to ensure compliance

  •   Provide administrative support to the Legal Affairs Manager on litigation matters against the company such as but not limited to conflict resolutions, settlements, negotiations and preventive measures regarding any estimated lawsuit

  •   Participate in reviewing referred contracts, agreements and other relevant documentation for which Be’ah can be held liable in the court of law.

  •   Assists in representing the Company in courts within/outside Oman, for any litigations and legal matters.

  •   Support the primary focal point in liaising with External Legal Advisors who provide legal services to the Company.

  •   Assists on legal administrative work on behalf of the Company,with the Government offices, when required.

  •   Adhere to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures, instructions, controls, and role specific QHSE KPIsin order to guarantee the safety of employees, quality of products/ services and environmental compliance

Job Description:

 JOB PURPOSE

To provide coordination and administrative support in order to enhance the department’s internal and external effectiveness whilst following up on all the related activates.

   KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transcribe, format, edit, retrieve, copy, and transmit text,data and graphics ensuring accuracy of information.

  • Review routing correspondence, draft letters and documents,translate, collect and analyze information and initiate telecommunications as required.

  • Plan and schedule meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel arrangements.

  • Meet and greet visitors to the office and direct inquiries in an efficient and professional manner.

  • Follow-up on projects as and when requested.

  • Assist in preparing reports as required.

  • Assist in managing historical data in a systematic manner.

  • Conduct any necessary research using the internet or other sources.

Job Description:

 JOB PURPOSE

To manage the team of specialists to identify, develop and deploy waste streams and services in a commercially and technically viable manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Articulate the high-level study concept into detailed research design to support the building of a plan to develop and manage a specific wastestream

  • Consolidate and present the stream management plan in order toseek necessary approvals from the management team

  • Manage the planning and implementation of the approved waste stream plan in conjunction with the line manager to ensure all aspects are catered to in a comprehensive manner in line with the department operational framework

  • Coordinate with the relevant operational units for the development of overall operational policies and guidelines including HSE & sustainability guidelines for the assigned waste management streams

  • Build relationships with key external stakeholders for developing and managing the concerned waste stream

  • Monitor operational activities against defined metrics related to the identified waste streams and recommend corrective action

  • Ensure smooth handover of mature/ fully operational waste streams to the operational units as per plan

  • Identifies new opportunities within the ongoing waste management streams

  • Set and agree on performance objectives for all direct reports and provide coaching and feedback to teams/individuals in line with good people management practices to ensure job responsibilities are optimally delivered

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE

To facilitate the conversion of ideas (i.e. from universities, labs, R&D divisions, etc.) into marketable products and/or businesses and subsequently creating an industry around sustainability in the environmental sector

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay abreast of industry developments and technological advancements in respect to sustainability, waste management and circular economic trends.

  • Develop and articulate strategic business plans to identify future opportunities for new businesses or technologies

  • Develop strategic partnerships with various academic, industrial, government and other partners to identify,foster and encourage collaboration of new business opportunities 

  • Develop, maintain and encourage an ecosystem of open innovation with partners and entrepreneurs to stimulate and advance new business opportunities

  • Evaluate, develop and manage new technology offerings consistent with the sector’s s diversification efforts

  • Oversee and manage all potential technologies from conceptualization to market

  • Manage the full portfolio of commercialization activities including but not limited to, R&D, market analysis, IP management, commercial licensing, managing partnerships and collaborations, etc.

  • Collaborate with internal and external entities as well as legal resources to submit the necessary paper work and applications for IP protection and licensing
